Betrawati, Nov 12,, Police held two persons for their alleged involvement in trafficking five adolescent girls to India.
According to District Police Office Chief Basanta Kunwar, a case related to human trafficking was registered against them on Sunday and investigation into the case was expedited from the Nuwakot District Court.
Likewise, the court has given three days to the police to keep Nirmal Biswokarma of Bheriganga municipality-12 of Surkhet and Bikas Pyakurel, 20, of Likhu rural municipality-4, Chaughada in detention for the purpose of investigation.
They were held for taking hostage five adolescents who were disappeared from Nuwakot.
Acting on the explanation of the girls, police arrested Pyakurel from Battar Bazaar for being involved in trafficking them to India from Nuwakot.
The Surkhet Police had arrested Biswokarma from his home while rescuing the captive girls on Friday and produced him before court on Saturday.
The girls rescued have been kept at a shelter of Women and Children Service Centre of Nepal Police. —
