Kathmandu, June 17 (RSS): Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has stated that lawmakers should be allowed to question and answer with the Prime Minister once the House of Representatives (HoR) Operation Regulations comes into force. He was speaking at a meeting of the lower house today.
Prior to this, taking a special time from the Speaker, Nepali Congress lawmaker Dr Minendra Rijal demanded this provision. As per the HoR Operations Regulations, lawmakers shall get time for question and answer to the Prime Minister twice in a month. Dr Rijal took the time to point out at empty seats meant for lawmakers in the ruling parties, accusing them of being irresponsible to the people.
The lower house continues discussions over various headings of the Appropriation Bill 2075 BS.
