Kathmandu, Dec 18,, The Armed Police Force (APF) has registered its fourth win in the Martyrs Memorial ‘A’ Division League Football Championship, defeating Machchhindra Club, 3-1, in a match played at the ANFA Complex ground today.
With the win, APF has amassed 13 points. Ashish Lama scored in the 3rd minute of play giving an initial lead to APF. Similarly, Yubaraj Khadka scored the second goal for APF in the 12th minute. Khadka scored through a header utilizing the pass from Shyam Nepali.
Machchhindra returned a goal in the 34th minute of the first half. Foreign player Alba Edimola scored for Machchhindra. This is the first goal of Machchhindra in the League.
APF, which was leading 2-1 until the first half of the game, scored the third goal in the second half. Rup Bahadur Lama scored for the APF in the 88th minute, through a free kick.
APF which has so far played nine games is in the 8th position in the points chart while Machchhindra with three points is in the 13th position.
Manang Marshyangdi Club tops the point chart with 24 points while Sankata, which also has 24 points, is in the second place on the basis of goal difference. The Three Star Club is in the third place with 21 points.
