Tehrathum, Dec. 20,, Tehrathum Society in the UK, a network of Tehrathum-born people and currently residing and working in the UK, has helped develop a building for Myanglung Multiple Campus, Tehrathum through fundraising. The members of the Society collected Rs 1.1 million in cash to build the college building.
Province Assembly Member of Province No. 1 Tejman Kandangwa inaugurated the newly-built college building amid a function on Wednesday.
During the event, former chairperson of Tehrathum Society, UK Surya Khapung and assistant Campus Chief Prakash Dhungana were honoured for their contributions to the growth of the campus.
Meanwhile, a three-day free health camp was started on Wednesday in Tehrathum district for the care and treatment of eye diseases. District Red Cross Society and Eye Treatment Centre organized the eye care camp with technical assistance from the Biratnagar Eye Hospital. A total of 294 persons received services on the first day of the camp.
