Baitadi, Jan 6,, Distribution of national identity cards is taking place in two districts of the Far-Western province within the current fiscal year. The Department of National Identity and Civil Registration has said the people of Achham and Kanchanpur districts will get the cards within the current fiscal.
The collection of the details of eligible card holders begins very soon and the distribution completes by coming mid-July. According to Province Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Prakash Shah, the government started the distribution of national ID cards from Panchathar from November 19, 2018 and it is taking place in 15 districts of seven provinces within this fiscal year.
The Department has already issued 110 thousand cards in Panchthar and seven thousand to the employees of Singha Durbar. It targets the distribution to over 3.5 million people. Those above 16 year are eligible for the card.
