Not control but facilitation a need for people: Chief Information Commissioner

Bejhad, March 5 ,,  Chief Information Commissioner of the National Information Commission, Krishna Hari Baskota suggested the local governments to adopt the approach of facilitation not the control to take the people into confidence.
The local governments should emphatically incorporate the people’s shared concepts in course of formulating development plans and engaging them in the transformation process, he said in a daylong youth training programme organised by Bans Rampur on Monday with financial support from Rampur municipality of Palpa.
Local levels could achieve much on the development fronts if the people’s representatives started working in close network with the people, Baskota added.
People’s representatives of Rampur municipality, employees, journalists and representatives of various local civil society organizations participated in the training. —
