Gaushala, April 29 ,, A cyclist person killed when a passenger bus hit his bicycle on the Jaleshwar-Janakpur road section of Mahottari district on Sunday afternoon. Police identified the deceased as Raj Mukhiya, around 24 years, of Pipara rural municipality-7, Mahottari district.
Mukhiya was killed instantaneously when the bus (Na 5 Kha 6135) going to Jaleshwar from Janakpur hit the bicycle coming from the opposite direction at Pipara rural municipality-5 around 5 pm. Police have impounded the bus and the driver.
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Dipesh Poudel of Sikaicha in Taplejung was killed when a jeep hit his bicycle on the Kalijhoda road section of the East-West highway at Mechinagar municipality-12 in Jhapa district this morning. The jeep (Me 1 Ja 2059) was coming to the west from the east.
Poudel, who was critically injured in the jeep-hit breathed his last at the B&C Hospital in Birtamod, the District Police Office, Jhapa stated.
