Kathmandu, Oct 21 Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Gokarneshwar Municipality are jointly constructing a park at Yagyadol (Jagdol) of Gokarna. The park is to be constructed inside the community forest at Jagdol at a cost of Rs 30 million. Gokarna is an important place from the historical, religious, and archaeological point of view. Laying the foundation for the construction of the park, Gokarneshwar Municipality mayor Santosh Chalise said the park construction would proceed ahead as the municipality’s pride project. This park is being constructed in the same community forest where the government is constructing the National Martyrs’ Memorial. Mayor Chalise also said the municipality will take initiation for the completion of the Martyrs’ Memorial which is in limbo at present. KMC and the Municipality have earmarked Rs 10 million each in the current fiscal year for the construction of the park. The remaining 10 million would be allotted in the next fiscal year, according to mayor Chalise. Chief of the Kathmandu Division Forest Office, Anil Regmi initiated the Community Entrepreneurship Centre on the occasion.
