Kathmandu, June 13 (RSS): Discussion on different topics relating to Ministries of Communications and Information Technology; Water Supply; Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs under the Appropriation Bill-2075 BS was underway in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives.
Taking part in the discussion, lawmaker Bharat Kumar Shah criticised the government as failure to allocate even three per cent of the total budget towards agriculture sector.
He presented a proposal before the House to reduce expenditure under different topics by Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives to one rupee.
Similarly, Prakash Rasaili tabled the proposal of curtailing the expenditure under various subjects by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology by Rs 100.
Saying drinking water projects should be forwarded on the basis of priority, Parbata DC (Chaudhary) presented a proposal to reduce the expenditure under different headings of Ministry of Water Supply by one rupee.
Likewise, Durga Poudel proposed to curtail expenditure of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives by one rupee while Prem Suwal tabled a proposal to curtail expenditure under various headings by Communications and Information technology, Water Supply, Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs by one rupee.
