Kathmandu, July 26 (RSS): Senior tourism entrepreneur Ang Tshering Sherpa has been appointed the new Dean of the Honorary Consul Corps Nepal (HCC-N).
Sherpa, who is the honorary consul general for Belgium, was elected the dean by the General Assembly of the HCC-N held in Kathmandu. He takes over from Rajendra Khetan, who is the honour consul for Portugal.
Kiran Baidya was elected the Vice-dean while Sriram Lamichhane and Chandra Dhakal are its members.
The HCC-N was formed in 2007 with the objective of working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other diplomatic missions in Nepal. There are consul general representing 45 countries in HCC-N.
