Kathmandu, June 15 (RSS): The programmes planned in view of the unification between the Youth Association of Nepal and Young Communist League (YCL) have been put off.
YAN is the youth wing of the then CPN (UML) while the YCL is associated with the then CPN (Maoist Center) and both wings are in the process of merger, following the unification of two mother parties on May 17 to form the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).
With the postponements of set programmes, both organisations will be ineligible for carrying out daily programmes and other administrative and political activities. A taskforce formed earlier to facilitate the unification process, will look after affairs of both organisations.
The same task force is to constitute a new body comprising representatives of both wings to do further homework for unification, YAN general secretary Naresh Shahi said. The four-member task force includes YAN in-charge Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and chair Ramesh Poudel, and YCL in-charge Mani Thapa and chair Ram Prasad Poudel (Deepsikha)
