Kathmandu, Sept 20 ,, The government is presenting medals to athletes and people associated with sports on the occasion of the Constitution Day.
Those receiving the Prabal Janasewa Shree (Fourth Class) honour are athletics coach, Dhaniram Chaudhary, karate player Sanju Maharjan and cricketer of the National Cricket Team, Sandeep Lamichhane for their remarkable contribution to sport sector.
Similarly, wresting player Bharat Bahadur Bisural (Himalayan Tiger) would be honoured with Samaj Sewa Ratna.
The government also decided to honour a team of paragliding players with the Sukriti Medal. The team had won bronze medal for Nepal in the 18th Asian Games held in Indonesia last month.
Paragliding main coach Yogesh Bhattarai, assistant coach Sanobabu Sunuwar, manager Shailendra Raut and players Bimal Adhikari, Bijay Gautam, Sushil Gurung, Yukesh Gurung and Bishal Thapa are conferred the Sukriti Medal.
The medal announced on the occasion of Constitution Day would be presented on the coming Republic Day.
