Kathmandu, Sept. 24 ,, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said that his formal visit to the People’s Republic of China was highly fruitful and successful.
Issuing a press note this evening, the Secretariat of the Vice President said that the visit has helped further to further strengthen the bilateral relations and expand the cooperation.
Vice President Pun had returned home on Monday morning after wrapping up his six-day official visit to China.
The visit was also successful to clearly mention Nepal’s needs to the high-level Chinese officials and concerned sides as well as the international communities, reads the statement. Likewise, the visit was positive to further expand the bilateral assistance and cooperation in the issues of mutual interests in the areas of hydropower, agriculture, tourism, herbs, infrastructure development, trade, FDI, technology transfer and others, according to the Vice President’s Secretariat.
The Vice President participated in the ’17th Western China International Fair’ and an event related to ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ during his China visit. Likewise, VP Pun met with Vice-Premier of China, Secretary of Sichuan province of Communist Party of China and government representatives during the visit.
