Bardibas, Mahottari, Oct 3,,   A Dalit child was kicked out of his school over a sanitation issue in Bhangaha Municipality in Mahottari.
Mukesh Dom, a seventh grader, was dismissed on Tuesday from local Janata Secondary School for not following the order to remove garbage around the school premises, said the victim. The garbage was leftover from a ritual organised by the school on the occasion of the 13th day death ritual of the grandmother of the school’s accountant Rakesh Yadav.
Mukesh parents, however, accused school Principal Manohar Prasad Yadav of treating them lowly for their caste. The school ordered them to remove the waste just as they are from so-called lower caste, said the victim’s father Harinamari.
School Principal Yadav defending the act saying others were also involved in cleaning the garbage.
