Dang, Dec 22,, The bodies of the 22 people who died in a road accident in Ramri of Tulasipur Sub-metropolis on Friday have been brought to the Rapti Zonal Hospital.
The dead include four women and 18 men, according to Chief of Area Police Office in Tulasipur Jeevan Shahi. The identification process will begin soon.
Fifteen others who were seriously injured in the incident are undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Teaching Hospital.
The accident took place at 4:50 pm on Friday when the bus with registration number Ba. 4 Kha. 9766 heading towards Tulasipur from Kapurkot of Salyan fell some 700 meters below the road, according to DSP at the Area Police Office, Tulasipur Prem Bahadur Shahi. The bus was carrying students and teachers of the Krishnasen Icchuk Technical School in Ghorahi, as they were returning after a study tour of the botanical garden in Mulpani of Kapurkot, Salyan.
A total of 38 passengers were travelling in the bus, including 32 students of the school. Of the dead only five have been identified. They include the bus driver Madan KC,32, of Ghorahi sub-metropolis-3, Pradip Ghimire,28, of the same municipality, Sanjit Rajauriya,30, of Dangisan rural municipality-1, Naresh Oli,28, of Rukum east and Bijaya GM,17, of Ghorahi sub-metropolis-14, police said.
