Damak, Nov 13 ,, A car knocked down a female pedestrian at Damak of Jhapa this morning.
According to Shyamal Subba, Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) at Area Police Office, Damak, the deceased has been identified as Sitamaya Khadka, 55, of Sakela rural municipality, Khotang. The car (Ba 17 Cha 8172) hit her while she was crossing the road at Damak municipality-4 along the East-West Highway.
Khadka is a local resident of Damak-9.
Critically injured Khadka died on the way to local Lifeline Hospital. Police have taken the card driver under control. —
