Committee to investigate shootout at police post

Kathmandu, Dec 23,, Nepal Police has constituted an investigation committee to probe the shootout that took place at the Metropolitan Police Range, Lakuribhanjyang.
A five-member investigation team led by DSP at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Satodobato Gautam Mishra has been formed by the Nepal Police Headquarters on Saturday. In the incident, police constable Roshan Shrestha was injured at the shootout that took place in the bedroom of the Office chief.
The 22-year-old of Gairimudi, Dolakha had reportedly gone to meet the office Chief sub-inspector of police Ramesh Tamang. Shrestha is undergoing treatment at Nepal Police Hospital in Maharajgunj. Tamang has been taken into custody for further investigation, police said.
