Elephant Sports Association gets ad hoc committee

Chitwan, Jan 2,, A 17-member Nepal Elephant Sports Association has been formed under the leadership of Regional Hotel Association Chitwan Chairperson Suman Ghimire.
The National Sports Council reshuffled the Association and formed an ad hoc committee. Earlier, the Association was formed under the leadership of Badri Adhikari.
The responsibility has been designated to Ghimire and his team as per the December 22 decision of the National Sports Council.
The ad hoc committee includes Ghanashyam Shrestha (senior vice-chair), Deepak Bhattarai and Yogesh Adhikari (vice-chair), Rammani Khanal (general secretary), Dipendra Shrestha (secretary) and Babita Chaudhary (treasurer).
Among the members in the committee are Tika Giri, Thakur Man Shrestha, Keshab Acharya, Bhupaldas Shrestha and Gyanendra Shrestha. The committee will also have two representatives from NSC, one from District Administration Office and a representative from private elephant owners.
Ghimire informed that the ad hoc committee will hold election for electing a new working committee within three months. —
