Gaighat, Sept 26 ,, District Court, Udayapur, has slapped five-year imprisonment and Rs 100,000 fine on a man found guilty of rape.
A single bench of District Judge, Tejendra Prasad Sharma, announced this verdict against Shiva Bahadur Rai, 36, of Triyuga municipality-4. He was arrested on the charge of raping a woman on March 8, 2018.
Rai was in the custody after police arrested him after the victim filed complaint against him on March 23.
