Bhaktapur, Dec 28,, Folk singer Buddhi Krishna Lamichhane passed away at his home today. He was 63.
The singer of the ‘Ghansa Katne Khurkera Aayo Joban Hurkera’-fame was bed-ridden for long due to paralysis and other ailments. He was being treated for pneumonia of late. He died at his home at Changunarayan Municipality-7, Lamichhane’s daughter broke the news of the legendary folk singer’s passing.
He has sung many vivacious folk songs including the ‘Phateko Daura Layera, Khole Sisnu Khayera…’
Lamichhane is survived by his spouse, two sons and three daughters.
