Forest officer held with bribe

Galeswor, Dec 21,, The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday held an employee of Division Forest Office with bribe.
The team deputed from the anti-graft watchdog body caught Assistant Forest Officer Raj Kumar Thakur of the Division Forest Office red-hand while he was receiving bribe of Rs 34,000 from a service recipient.
Thakur took bribe from the service seeker promising to settle a case related to timber.
According to CIAA Pokhara office, Thakur was held acting on a tip off that he received bribe from a service seeker for settling the timber related case. —
