Bhadrapur, Feb 13 ,, Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has urged one and all to be aware of the anti-State forces that he said were active in the country.
At a meeting with employees at the District Administration Office (DAO) in Jhapa today, Minister Thapa said that disgruntled forces in and outside of the country were trying to topple the government and weaken it to create instability.
Thapa said that although the separatist forces were not so rife in Jhapa but there were plenty of forces which, the Minister claimed, seek to divide country in the name of ethnicity and religion and create chaos in Province No 1 and Jhapa.
Stating that the security forces should take special measures to douse these forces, Minister Thapa instructed the staffers in the DAO, Jhapa to discharge their duties responsibly and render effective services to the service-seekers.
According to him, the cases of smuggling were on the rise in Jhapa lately and additional security provisions need to be put in place to curb it.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to tackle corruption, he argued that the good-governance and peace should be further institutionalise to achieve economic stability and development in the country.
He viewed that the administration should pay attention to the Prime Minister’s anti-corruption campaign ‘Ma ni bhrastachar gardina ra garna ni dinna’ (Neither I will be involved in corruption nor will let it happen ) as the government has adopted the ‘zero-tolerance’ policy against corruption.
On the occasion, Chief District Officer, Jhapa, Janak Rak Dahal , held a security briefing to the visiting Minister in Jhapa and the programmes of the DAO, Jhapa.
