Karnali CM describes China trip successful

Surkhet, Sept 29 ,,   Karnali province chief minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has said his first visit to China was successful.
The chief minister who returned home today after completing his week-long visit to China said the trip was fruitful in terms of bilateral interest and development of the province.
“The visit remained highly productive in creating an atmosphere for international investment in the province,” he said while briefing the media about his visit.
A preliminary agreement has been reached with the China Railway Company to conduct a feasibility study for the construction of Hilsa- Jamunaha fast track, according to the chief minister who went on to say that the project would serve as a backbone for the development and prosperity of the Karnali province.
During the visit to the northen neighbour, discussions were held with the province governments and investment there on the important issues including the establishment of Karnali airlines, tourism infrastructure development, herbs processing centers, hydropower development and internal and provincial airport.
Likewise, he held discussions with the Chinese delegation about the establishment of bilateral border points.
The Chief Minister who had been in China at the invitation of the Sichuan province governor leading a four-member team also attended the 17th Western China International Fair and Belt and Road Development Conference held there.
