Kathmandu, Aug 20 ,, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has extended best wishes and congratulations to Saha Mehmood Qureshi on being appointed the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
In a message of best wishes sent today, Minister Gyawali said that Nepal was eager to closely work with Qureshi to further deepen Nepal-Pakistan relations during his tenure.
It may be noted that Nepal and Pakistan have enjoyed cordial bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1960 AD.
Meanwhile, General-Secretary of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Amjad Hussain B. Sial also extended congratulations and best wishes for the successful tenure of newly-appointed minister Qureshi.
The SAARC general-secretary also expected his belief that Minister Qureshi in his tenure would substantially contribute to the promotion of regional cooperation and mutual interests.
He also expressed his confidence that the 19th SAARC Summit will also be held at Islamabad of Pakistan soon.
