Hetauda, July 19 : Today’s State Assembly meeting of Province no 3 has been postponed without entering in the regular agenda due to protest of members of Nepali Congress.
Earlier to this, demanding special time, NC leader Indra Bahadur Baniya stressed that the government should pay attention in production of capable doctors in order to make the country self-dependent after passing the Medical Education Bill from the House of Representatives in line with report of Kedarbhakta Mathema Commission.
He also urged to handover the post of Speaker or Deputy-Speaker to the opposition party as the CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) have already been merged and formed a new party—Communist Party of Nepal.
Baniya further said that the incumbent government should not neglect the demands of Dr Govinda KC as he has been raising the issues being devoted towards the country and the people after giving up personal interest.
The NC members stood from their respective seats and obstructed the meeting as per the decision of the State Assembly NC Parliamentary Party. They said that they would obstruct the House unless the government addressed the issues of national concern raised by NC.
Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha postponed the meeting till 11:00 am on July 20.
