Kathmandu, Aug 19 , The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has directed the concerned sides to inform about the environmental effects caused due to the developmental and construction projects run in Kathmandu valley.
In a discussion programme held in the NHRC office on Sunday, Member of the NHRC, Sudeep Pathak, directed the concerned bodies assigned to enforce the laws on human rights issues to submit their reports by six months. The rights body also directed the chief district officers and police chiefs of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts to this end.
The Commission is receiving the complaints regarding the environmental degradation caused due to haphazard operation of the developmental projects.
