Surkhet, June 13 (RSS): The lawmakers of Karnali Province Assembly have suggested that the province government should unveil its budget by setting the priorities for development of the province.
Taking part in the deliberations on the policy and programmes of the Karnali Province, they asked the province government to come up with the priorities. Lawmaker Dharmaraj Regmi urged the province government to allocate budget visibly based on priorities instead of budget distribution. “Teaching hospital, university, tourism centre, road and agriculture should be prioritized in the province so that Karnali Province would be the model one,” Regmi argued.
Likewise, province assembly member Padhma Khadka said road, communications, agriculture and herbs should be given top priority for economic development in Karnali adding that physical infrastructure development and energy sectors should be kept in special priority.
