Kathmandu, Oct 1 ,, The Rastriya Janata Dal has been merged into the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) today. The merger of the party led by Bharat Mahato was announced at a programme organized at CPN central office Dhumrabarahi in the capital today.
The CPN general secretary Bishnu Poudel and leader Subas Nembang welcomed the party leaders to the CPN.
While welcoming the new comers, CPN general secretary Poudel said that the CPN was getting more popularity due to the stand and performance shown in various national issues including nationality, social justice, equality and mission of prosperity and development as well.
Similarly, Janata Dal chair Mahato said that they were looking forward to a Marxist party to address the problem surfacing in the Tarai, therefore they joined the CPN.
