Chitwan, Sept 14 ,, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has said Nepal’s relations with friendly countries were improving.
Talking to media persons here Friday, Minister Gyawali argued that the recent international summit, bilateral talks and Nepal’s high level foreign visits have reached Nepal’s relations with the friendly countries to a new height.
The Minister further said it was a matter of pride the Nepal successfully hosted the BIMSTEC summit. “We worked in a way to promote BIMSTEC for regional technical and economic cooperation,” he asserted.
According to him, Nepal and Thailand were attending a security seminar being held in India as observers. BIMSTEC, rather than on security, should be concentrated to economic agenda, the Minister underscored.
On a different note, Foreign Minister Gyawali informed that government has completed six months since its formation and endeavours were taken to put federalism in practice.
He commented that it was a biased view on government to say that it protected those responsible behind Nirmala rape and murder.
