Surkhet, Dec 25,, Chief Secretary of Karnali Province, Ram Prasad Thapaliya has said the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) has broken the trend of support from Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
At a three-day ‘province-level journalism training’ organized by RSS Karnali Province Office, he said the RSS has disrupted the continuity of NGO support in carrying out such capacity building activities.
On the occasion, he had shared the inter-relationship among the local, provincial and federal governments as well as activities and progresses made so far by the Karnali province government.
“The province government has set the goal of establishing province office of the central bank (Rastra Bank) in Karnali Province for the management of fiscal affairs”, he added.
He further shared that there has been no harmonious relations between federalism and employees which is also creating hurdles in implementing the policies.
Likewise, Secretary at Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law Toya Narayan Subedi imparted training to journalists on the theme of government’s communication policy and right to information.
He said the order for the formation of the law commission has already been made and the government has advanced the formulation of laws related to single rights.
“The Karnali province government has been disclosing key activities and decisions of its subordinating ministries through own website”, he shared. —
