Kathmandu, July 5 (RSS): Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara has urged the political parties to send names of the members to be represented in different parliamentary committees.
Talking to journalists at his secretariat in Singha Durbar today, he shared that the parliamentary committee would get final shape within a week and still there is a chance for the formation of some committees on Friday’s meeting.
The committees have not been formed for delay from the parties in sending out the names of members to be inducted in the parliamentary committees.
Speaker Mahara also urged the government to send the government’s laws related bills to the parliament since several Acts have to be endorsed within September 18 in course of the implementation of the constitution.
With the new Constitution coming into effect, some 100 bills including amendment to old laws and new laws have to be presented at the parliament.
Noting that he would give equal importance to the voices of ruling and opposition parties, he however clarified that he has to resort to majority when the situation emerges to take final decision.
Speaker Mahara further said that he would take initiative to include representation of small political parties except four big parties while forming the parliamentary committees.
