Kathmandu, Sept 25 ,, Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said that the tourism sector was the foundation of economic prosperity in the country.
While inaugurating the 3rd annual general meeting (AGM) of Nepal Federation of Tourism Journalists here today, Speaker Mahara argued that the sector should be developed for the holistic development of the nation.
He also suggested that the government should cooperate with all sectors to promote tourism in the country. He also said that the tourism sector could recognize Nepal in global arena if it was prioritized and developed properly.
The federation chair Dhaniram Sharma shared that the federation had forwarded the concept of sector wise journalism from western Nepal and now it has achieved success. About 150 tourism journalists are taking part in the AGM.
