Kathmandu,

A delegation of the UAE Red Crescent distributed humanitarian aid among the families affected by floods and landslides in various villages and districts in Nepal. UAE Red Crescent implemented its humanitarian project in cooperation and coordination with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Kathmandu, and with the necessary assistance of the relevant authorities of Nepal government. Approximately 20,000 food packs, 7,300 medical kits and 4,236 tarpaulins were distributed during September 2024 as per the needs of the affected people in various villages of Kailali, Kanchanpur, Banke, Bardiya, Kapilvastu, Morang, Sunseri, Saptari, Mahottri, Rautahat and Parsa districts. UAE government always stands with Nepal in critical situations by providing humanitarian assistance in all disasters and plagues that Nepal suffers from time to time due to its geographical location, mountainous terrain, climate change and weather fluctuations. The continually support of the UAE government to the government and people of Nepal is commendable and is indicative of the strong friendly relation between the two countries.

According to the sources, this aid that was distributed is considered the first patch and will be followed soon by other patches.
