Baniyani, Nov 11,, A woman died after being hit by a pickup van this morning at Durgapur of Kankai municipality-1 in Jhapa. The deceased has been identified as Dinbai Tamang, 57, of Dibu rural municipality-4, Dolakha, the District Police Office, Jhapa confirmed.
A pickup van (Ko 1 Cha 7705) hit Tamang, leaving her severely injured. She later breathed her last in course of treatment at the Birtamod-based B&C Hospital. Police have arrested the driver and further investigation is underway. —
